This program presents adventurous jazz and improvised music featuring the musicians and innovations that have emerged (or are emerging) from the jazz tradition. It showcases work that recognizes these roots but looks forward. Not only can the great innovators and soloists of the present be heard, but also those who influenced them or have shown the promise to move beyond.
